Personal

JS-20

A conceptual take on the form of a contemporary electric fan for the modern household.

This was a personal project through which I learned rendering.

A functionalistic approach in the whole process of designing and ideation allowed for a clean shape without any distractions.

The basic shape is build by rotating a isosceles trapezoid and rounding the edges. Divided into two parts, the bottom part serves to hide the mechanics and the fan, which sucks in air through the holes in the outer shell. The air is pushed up and back out through the vertical slits in the upper part of the ventilator.

The result is a minimalistic gadget, which will not draw much attention, but will greatly affect the living conditions in the house.

The concept features a second row of shutters on the inside, which can be easily moved. Simply rotate the handle to change the direction of wind or open the fan to all sides for a more passive breeze-like experience.
